"Audrey was a joy to work with - she brought my vision for my wife's 30th birthday dinner, a French Comfort Food theme, to life, perfectly. From the beginning Audrey was easy and swift to communicate with, she thought of every detail as we went through the planning process and she was easy to make changes with as I firmed up my guest list and took dietary restrictions into account. On the day of the dinner she was on-time, very organized and handled everything with grace and ease as I prepared for everyone's arrival. She was very flexible with the dinner service accounting for cocktails and catch-up conversation. The food that she prepared was wonderful! She used high quality, fresh ingredients and her food was delicious, approachable and very pleasing to the eye and taste buds - we had some leftovers and have had it twice over the course of a few days because we liked it so much! "Audrey helped me with food for a cocktail party for about 50 people--from menu planning, to shopping, to prep. Audrey sent me a tentative shopping list about a week beforehand, and we hit the grocery store the day before the party. In addition to getting the ingredients for the dips and appetizers, Audrey helped me select the cheeses, cured meats, beer, and wine.
At my home, she made delicious white bean-rosemary dip, spinach-artichoke dip, pigs in blankets, mini-reubens, and sauce for fruit skewers, carefully writing out instructions for last-minute heating and plating. As we worked I could see that she was carefully considering how to maximize flavor and freshness and minimize hassles for me. She placed the prepared pigs-in-blankets on baking sheets in the freezer to keep the dough from getting sticky. And she prepped all the components for the reubens for last-minute assembly to prevent them from getting soggy. From start to finish it was clear that I had a pro in my kitchen. But at the same time, she let me be a partner and made it all fun!
Everything turned out great and I got so many compliments. I would work with Audrey again in a heartbeat."
